UW Calendar for Week of March 8-12

These are among the activities scheduled at the University of Wyoming during the week of March 8-12.

Monday, March 8 -- Student tickets for grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco's April 21 UW performance go on sale for $10. Tickets can be purchased at the Wyoming Union information desk, the Fine Arts box office, by phone at (307) 766-6666 or online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts. Tickets for the general public go on sale March 15 for $18.

Tuesday, March 9, 6 p.m. -- College Democrats and College Republicans will host a debate on Health Care, Wyoming Union ballroom. Refreshments will be provided. Free.

Wednesday, March 10, 7:30 p.m. -- Faculty Recital Series presents "Nature, Love, and Loss: Life's Journey in Song," featuring Katrina Zook, mezzo-soprano and Lisa Rickard on piano, Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets cost $7 for general admission, $5 for students and seniors.

Wednesday, March 10, 8 p.m. -- Jalan Crossland Band will perform in the Wyoming Union ballroom. Free.

Thursday, March 11, 4 p.m. -- UW Art Professor Colleen Denney will discuss "My Lady Scandalous Reconsidered: An Art Historical Look at Transgressive Victorian Women," Room 306 of the Classroom Building.
